CMS End-User Training

Description
RedDot CMS allows people with no web development experience to be able to easily update websites. While content authors can start using RedDot CMS without any specific training, sometimes a customer might want to provide its content authors with some training. This training is designed to teach content authors how to use the features and functionality that are relevant to their specific implementation of RedDot CMS. Prior to the start of the training a RedDot instructor will work with the customer to develop a custom curriculum that ensures that content authors will learn precisely what they need to know in order to effectively and efficiently work in their unique RedDot CMS website.
Objectives:
- After completing the CMS End-User Training course students will be able to:
- Edit content in their unique RedDot CMS website
- Incorporate digital assets into pages
- Use the RedDot Text Editor to format text
- Create pages using the different content classes available
- Understand linking in a RedDot CMS website
- Approve, reject and correct pages in workflow
- Translate pages using the Translation Editor interface
Topics:
The topics covered in the CMS End-User Training are customized to meet the students' requirements, so the specific topics covered in each class will vary. All End-User Training classes cover the following topics:
- Working in SmartEdit mode
- Working in the Asset Manager
- Controlling pages in Workflow
- Translating pages using the Translation Editor
Scheduled Hours:
9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Skill Requirements
This course is designed for people with no web development experience. Students should be comfortable using a web browser.
